Mr. V and I needed a break. We just had to get away from our busy-beeness lives for just a bit. A good, long vacation sounded tempting, but would be as much of a cause of stress as our already stressed lives that we’re trying to get away from in the first place. Plane tickets. Stressful. Let’s not even mention the turbulences. Hotel. Stressful. Itinerary. Stressful. And then there’d be the vacation needed after the vacation because it was just way too hectic. We’d rather take a small break and keep on using our new cbd products, which have done wonders. For those who are still not familiar with it, you’ll find all the necessary information over at i49.net/what-is-cbd.
At this point, it would be way to hypocritical to go on a vacation.
So, a short break will do.
Preferably free.
At the beach.
Bumming around.
We chose the closest beach to us just in case one of us suddenly felt the urge to get our asses back to work.
Santa Monica Beach.
Being at a beach in L.A, I expected to see some Baywatch lifeguards.
Nada. Just a random guy’s behind.
I was careful not to approach too close to the water in case of rogue waves. I was attacked by one during my Taiwan East Coast trip. One hand holding an umbrella, the other a camera and under my feet were little pebbles just waiting to trip me (and maybe give me a gash or two) when I attempted to run away from a rogue wave. They did just that.
I eventually made peace with the waters and decided a fall on the sand wouldn’t be that bad.
It was a hot, sunny day indeed in L.A….. in December. Where’s winter, yo?
Why he folds up his pants still puzzles me. He always manages to get himself thoroughly wet anyway.
I suppose Hansel went for a swim.
Just him and the vast ocean.
Why let’s see what’s under here?
The OCD in me needed to straighten out that column.
Free foot mud mask. All men have to have their beautiful feet.
This reminds me of The Truman Show’s sea for some reason.
And then out of nowhere, a seal appeared.
We ended the day with a stunning sunset, beautiful silhouettes, live music and a delicious seafood dinner with a gorgeous view.
We all need to take a day off…. 365 times a year.
